Falcon Hill Aerospace Park Receives Prestigious Award

Falcon Hill Aerospace Research Park was recognized Thursday, Sept. 12, as Utah’s 2024 Institutional Cornerstone in Economic Development. Each year, EDCUtah recognizes the individuals and developments that have had an outsized impact on Utah’s economic prosperity.

“We are extremely excited to have our project recognized for the creation of thousands of new jobs and the economic benefits it brings to our beloved military partners, military members, and the surrounding local communities,” says Ariana Farber, MIDA Deputy Director. “MIDA is proud to have facilitated a winning public-private partnership between the Air Force and Sunset Ridge Development Partners (a joint venture between Hunt Companies and Woodbury Corp.), resulting in Falcon Hill Aerospace Research Park being the largest Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) in the Air Force and one of the largest commercial EULs in the Department of Defense.”

Comprising 550 acres of I-15 freeway frontage at Hill Air Force Base in northern Utah, Sunset Ridge Development Partners are able to develop commercial property on federally owned land inside the Hill AFB perimeter fence and also outside the Hill AFB perimeter fence that is accessible to the general public.
